Trying to clear space on macbook

My "Folder" is 151 GB in size when I go under system information but it is greyed out and I cannot access it try and clean it up. What can I do?

Can you access the HD via Finder, if it doesn’t display on your home screen? If so, go in there and remove any files you don’t want or need. You can also delete any apps you may not want or need anymore.

Since the OS is the same, I would think these tips would apply to your 16" MBP as well.

It's a bit intimidating at first but take it slow and follow his instructions.

There are tons of files that the OS stores that you don't need that I didn't even know where there.

After I completed this process my machine was marketably faster.
