    Hi,
I have the new macbook pro and I think(not sure) that it getting too warm.
I bought it two months ago.
one day after the purchase, the fan was working in a really high level ( it was very loud) and I d'ont know why. I did nothing that justify to run the fan so fast.
any way, I checked, and the fan working well.
I downloaded an app that says what is the temperature and it starts the fan just (just on 1200 rpm) just when the computer is on 60 degrees (celsius).
My mac is getting hot whenever I connect an adapter which connect the mac to a screen.
Now, the adapter is not an original one, so I was wondering if the mac getting that warm just because it is not a made by apple adapter.
    So my questions is:

    1. if you thing it is natural to get to 55-65 degrees when I connect the adapter with the screen?

    2. Do you think that an original adapter will make the difference?

    3. Do you think I need to go to an apple store to give the mac to a check?

    Welcome to iMore.

    1. Temp is normal. My MBP runs at that temp and higher when I am rendering videos.

    2. Makes no difference.

3.No need to take it in.

What app are you running to see your temps?I have a 2016 MBP with Touch Bar and Apple HDMI adapter and I'm not noticing mine getting hot, or even warm, at all. I'd like to know what temp app you are using so I can compare.

I have the 2017 iPad Pro w/o the Touchbar and I’ve yet to even hear the fan. I use it a lot, but not for anything that would cause it to get hot. In addition, I’ve yet to connect my MacBook Pro to a monitor. Anyway, it wouldn’t hurt to make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store and have them take a look at it.

Please make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store and have them check it out for you. If the device is brand new, get it taken care of now.

yes I will do it. thank you.
Do you think it is a problem that I have some app that I have installed not from the appStore and the warranty?
Or with the fact that I am using an non original adapters?
Or that I am using this "fan app"?
Do you know if it is "against" to the warranty conditions?

I do not know, but I’m sure the folks at the Apple Store will shed some light on the matter.
