I recently took my MacBook in for repair, my space bar broke while I was cleaning it due to it not functioning properly. The Apple tech guy inspected it and didn’t see any “at fault issues” it was sent off to get further inspection by the AppleCare. I was told that if for whatever reason it was denied it would be $700 to replace the keyboard (new butterfly keyboard). Welp it was denied because they “determined” it was intentional and wouldn’t be covered under warranty. I am a full time online student and 1. Don’t have $700 to invest back into my $2500 computer. 2. I am pissed I spent $250 on AC, for nothing it feels like.
    3. Reading online seems like everyone is experiencing issues with this keyboard and are GETTING new replacement computers.

I could use some advise, guidance or anything really to help get this issue covered by Apple care or warranty. I really don’t wanna pay $700 to get one KEY fixed.

Contact Apple Support directly or try another rep, in-store.

Call Apple. I have had success in calling their support line as opposed to taking it into a store. If you are persistent enough they will take care of it. I wouldn't worry about it, if you call them and are nice but at the same time demanding that it be replaced under Apple Care they will take care of it.
