MacBook Pro 2011 with discrete GPU problem

My MacBook has finally started to show the issue where when it switches back and forth between the discrete and integrated GPU it freezes up. It's no longer eligible for the extended repair program and most third party's won't touch it. And suggestions how I can get this repaired? Ideally cheaper then replacing the logic board which may not solve the problem
