I was looking at the models in store today and I think I've settled on the 2015 model for my laptop. However, I'm wondering if I'll just need to replace it in 2-3 years since it's already a couple of years old.

I plan to use it for design work (adobe suite) so I need it to be powerful.

Also the touch bar seems gimmicky to me. I know adobe said they're going to support the tough bar in the future.

I've also seen several videos of the 2017 MBP having bad graphics card issues. The computer shutting down and the screen going crazy. And battery life being awful (3 hours while designing).

Anyone used the 2017 ones and had a good experience?

If you have enough RAM with the 2015 model, you should be good to go for quite some time, in my opinion. Besides, people generally don’t swap out computers like they do smartphones.

Old ports or 4xUSB-C/Thunderbolt 3?

That's the big choice.

I'd go with 2015 in this choice, but depends on preferences.

Make sure you have 16GB of RAM.
