How do you think this happened? I have the new 15" and now do I look for scratches?
From what I have read, after the fact, if you keep your MBP in a bag with other items, those items can press against the top or bottom of the exterior shell and force the keyboard to come in contact with the screen. This is probably due to the thinness of the MBP’s shell.

Hoping Apple is able to do something. Either way, I will get a screen protector. I am not sure if the 15 has the same issue.

I keep my MacBook Pro in a padded sleeve that I've had for at least 3 years. The MacBook stays by itself. There is another part where I keep the charger and the cords and stuff. There's a thick padding between the two areas and each place has its own zipper compartments.
