I just bought the 2017 15" MacBook Pro about 2 weeks ago. Does anyone have any suggestions about a good external monitor for it? I think a 4K should be just about right for it. I looked at the LG on the Apple app, but I was wondering if there is some other good ones out there. I was thinking about portability too. So I'm looking at about 21"-24". I don't think I need anything bigger.

Will you be using the external monitor often, and do you plan on watching movies with it often? If not, why not get the LG you mentioned?

I probably will watch movies with it on the weekends in the truck. How often I'm not sure. The LG I mentioned is at the Apple Store. It's 21.5" and about $700. I probably want a monitor that will almost match the display on my MacBook Pro if that's possible. I looked at Best Buy and it's the same price. Good thing I'm not in a hurry to get one. Might have to go cheaper but the quality might end up suffering.

I have this monitor hooked up to my MacBookPro through USB-C cable and it works great for every day use. And my peripherals are directly connected to the LG monitor which makes a very clean setup, just one USB-C cable for every thing.
