Hi All,
My rather wonderful MacBook Pro 13" 2016 with Touchbar arrived yesterday, and price aside (Au$) it is rather perfect.
At home I have a Samsung 4k monitor, that supports HDMI 2.0 and also DisplayPort, meaning that I have two options to get 4k running at 60hz.
My question is, what cable/dongle/hub would we recommend, I can't find any "mainstream" solutions right now (most of the premium branded stuff is "coming soon").
Ideally it would be something like the Apple HDMI dongle (that I can't believe is only HDMI 1.4b, meaning only 30hz) that also has power and a legacy USB-3 B port (this would be all I need for a single USB 3 cable docking solution).
PS - Or if someone has experience in 4k at 30hz that tells me it doesn't matter (I don't play games, but do get caught up with screen artefacts or re-fresh issues), I'll just get the Apple dongle and be done with it.
