I read through the sticked Applecare information at the top, and it didn't answer this.

I have MBP that is coming towards the end of it's AppleCare Plus coverage. I just wanted to know if there are any tests to run to check if it's still running solidly. It works well, I'm just worried about only discovering something right after it goes out of warranty.

Welcome to iMore. You can run the Apple Hardware Test. About the only thing you can really do. If you have never had an issue with your MBP, I would not be concerned.
