    I don't know. On my MacBook, that section gets "warm". It houses the inverter and the wires that attaches to it. I finally got around to replacing it last night which took a few hours. Anyway, depending on how long you've owned your MacBook, you might consider taking it to a nearby Apple Store if you feel that the heat is abnormally high. I wouldn't waste my time depending on an app, but that's Just Me, D...

    I think that area is also where the CPU and GPU vent so it will be warmish.
