MBA or MBP Retina

Hello. I'm going to be needing a new machine soon. My current laptop is a refurbished MBP that's about 7 years old now. I'm a motion designer, primarily Flash, sometimes After Effects. So I'll need a machine that can run Adobe CS6 at least smoothly and possibly have Flash and Photoshop running at the same time. I also do some music production on the side, so it's going to be able to handle software like Native Instruments Traktor and Maschine. I don't need the best, top of the line model that's $4000, but I don't want a chugger either. Something that will handle what I need it to do nicely and I'd like to watch the wallet. Can a MBA do this realistically? And smoothly?

It sounds like you need the processing power of the MBP. While I am sure the MBA could do it, its going to be faster and more efficient on the Pro.

Defiantly go with the pro for the type of tasks you're trying to accomplish the pro is going to do it a lot smoother and faster than the Air!
