I haven't even begun to go through backup procedures on my rMBP just yet, but I was wondering what a symbol was on my screen, it was for Time Machine. Then I had to look up what a Time Capsule was. I am greatly intrigued by this and may end up getting one at some point. In the meantime I will have to backup another way. This got me wondering, how you do you all choose to backup your MBP/rMBP's?

You just need a external drive to use Time Machine.

Good to know, I can save some money then, if I choose.

I use Time Machine to a external drive, occasionally I do a bootable clone of the entire drive with Carbon Copy Cloner, and I have a paid subscription to Crashplan for online backups.
