Hello iMore, has anyone experienced any issues with Mavericks randomly restarting on your Macbook Pro?

I can't speak in regard to the MacBook Pro, but on my MacBook, I never had a problem with OS X Mavericks automatically restarting. Heck, I don't ever recall having random restarts with any OS X version as far back as Leopard.

I'm having this problem. Random shutting down seems to happen when I'm running Microsoft Office 2011. I'm removing that software to see if the problem persists.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" mid 2010 running Mavericks on it and mine has been doing it randomly too. If you don't mind my asking what kind of MacBook Pro do you have and what are the specs. I am hoping its something similar to mine. If thats the case have you found a fix for it?

Mine did it for the first week of running Mavericks then it got to the point it was maddening so I reinstalled it. After that it has been fine.
