I have a Mac from 2011 the default(dual core i5, upgraded to 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD) and its lost from 100% to 82% maximum charge capacity. Is there any way to boos the capacity a bit?
I'm due for an upgrade in 1 or 2 years anyway lets hope it can last a full school day!I don't think there is. Mine is a mid 2009 model and its at about 50% capacity. I don't know of anything to restore capacity. The only thing I know would be reducing brightness and limiting processes to make your battery life longer.

Thats my normal routine.Cutting the brightness down to half or less, turning the keyboard backlight off, and limiting the number of running apps to 2-3 at a time can easily add 30 minutes to an hour to your battery life.
