2020 MacBook Air BigSur M1 - external CD/DVD reader writer question

Hello,
I need HELP;

I have a recent MacBook Air M1 with Big Sur and USB-C.
I need an external CD/DVD reader/writer.
Apple’s Superdrive is NOT compatible with this Macbook per my attempts and per Apple Genius Tech service.

Some other CD/DVD reader/writers are NOT compatible with the Mac OS or M1 chip - not just a USB-C issue.

Could anyone recommend a CD/DVD reader/writer that can be used with my MacBook Air 2020 with BigSur M1 USB-C ???
Something I could use straight out of the Box without too much fuss.

I am sure I am not the only one with this issue. Many at Apple were unaware their Superdrive was not compatible…???!!!

Please check out the selections mentioned in the iMore Blog article via the following link. Although it states for the Mac mini M1, they should work with your MBA M1, too.
