Not able to come out of padlock screen

It is macbook air 2017. I was trying to reset my account password through apple id but it went to recovery mode and showing padlock for firmware password. I do not remember my formware password bit I have another admin account that I can use to reset my account password. But now it is not allowing me to come out of padlock screen whenever i switch it off and switch it on again it always shows padlock screen. I so not know what to do now. Kindly help.

They ask for original purchase receipt that I do not have as I purchased it second hand

Then unfortunately you now have a desk paperweight.

Nobody here will be able to assist you with this issue. If you've contacted Apple and they are asking for information that you cannot provide, then there's nothing else that can be done.

One of the great things about a firmware password is that if your MacBook is lost or stolen, the person other than you who has your computer will not be able to boot past the firmware password screen if they try to access your computer.
