So i have a 13.3" 2015 MBP (8gb, 256) and was looking at upgrading. Was thinking about the new air, but was wondering if it is worth it? I do not do much heavy lifting with my computer (youtube, email, docs/slides, etc). Would the air be a noticable upgrade over the MBP?

My work issued MacBook Air w/8 GBs RAM is a 2015 or 2016 model and it is more than sufficient for my work needs in which I have close to two dozen tabs open all day long.

For personal use, I have a 2017 MacBook Pro w/8 GBs RAM. The MBP is faster, but when doing “work” or typical web browsing, emailing, video watching, etcetera, the differences appear minimal.

With that being said, if all you’ll use the device for is what you’ve stated, is keep using the MBP you’re currently using, but if it craps out on you, I don’t have a problem recommending the MacBook Air.

Besides the specs bump, of course, the latest MBA has MUCH thinner bezels.
