2015 MacAir vs 2014 MacAir

I am debating whether to buy the 2015 MacAir or the 2014 MacAir. I have read the 2015 model have much faster processors, etc. One of the Apple resellers has a great deal on the 2014 11" MacAir - 1.7GHz, 8GB RAM, 512GB for $1,000; $1,089 with AppleCare included - I understand the same on the 2015 model would be some $600 more.

Am I losing much processing speed, etc if I go with this great deal for the 2014 11"?

Have you checked out this model? I had the 11inch and it was way too small for me

I have the 2015 Macbook Air 11" and I think it's just perfect for me. I don't think the previous year's edition is any different though...Performance difference are marginal at best.

How's that? I'm using a windows 8.1 laptop with 14' display. Too bulky for me.
