    I was thinking about buying a new 11 inch MBA but not sure if it is worth it.

    is there a big jump in performance from a mid 2012 MBA to a late 2014 MBA? or is my current MBA still good for a year or 2.

    Your current one should be good for a few more years. It mainly depends on what you use it for. There's people here in the forums running 2008 macs that are still running fine.

    having more storage (up to 256 gb) would be great for movies on the road as well maybe do a bit more space for apps & games as it doesn't take long to get low on space currently. Also the newer video card would be a plus.
