Sorry guys if this has been asked before but can someone tell me how well does Yosemite runs on Macbook Air (Early 2014 model)?

And is there any apps compatibility issue with Yosemite? I have office for Mac 2011.

Just want to make sure before I upgrade

Thus far, it's running well on my MacBook (early 2009) model so I can only assume it'll run even better on a MacBook Air. All of my installed apps work. I have Office for Mac 20011, but I don't have it installed.

It runs very well on the MBA. I have a 2014 13" model and it’s like buttah. Most of the app issues have been ironed out - as far as my experience goes. I’ve been running it on my daily driver rMBP and my wife's 2011 iMac since Developer Preview 3. And we run MS Office 2011, too. No issues for any of our Macs.

Working well so far on my mid 2013 Air (8GB RAM, 1.7GhZ i7). System was already plenty fast and fluid on 10.9.5. Just completed OS and app updates. Really liking the new UI.

The update is working flawlessly on my mid-2011 MacBook Air 11". It took about 2 hours to download and install, and I am currently updating my apps right now. I love the new design and I am having no problems with it.

Installed and running fine on my 2 month old 4GB 256GB 2014 Macbook Air. Only glitch is the iTunes update keeps showing up even though it's at the latest release.

Well, so far so good.. My Mac has become much snappier than before and I am liking the way the colour pallets have been picked up from iOS 8. It's like iOS 8 on Mac with more features!! I am loving it

How's MacBook heating? Does it heat faster? Mine still in Mavericks and I experience terrible heating issues

Depending on what I am doing, my rMBP and MBA will get warm from time to time. It was that way with Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks and now with Yosemite. I don’t see it as an issue, though. I certainly doesn’t get too warm.

Installed and running fine on my 2 month old 4GB 128GB 2014 Macbook Air. Only glitch is the iTunes update keeps showing up even though it's at the latest release.

I had the same problem as you (MBA same specs only 4 months old) and I found the solution on Apple's discussion forums. You need to download iTunes 12.0.1 and install it manually. Afterwards run update again and the little red 1 will disappear. For some reason the version I had was 12.0.0.140 and it would not update even I had four instances of the update in history.

I tried to download it from Apple but I had problems with it saying "thank you for downloading" and nothing ever downloaded. I found another one on TechSpot's website.

I'm rocking an '11 MBA with 4gb of RAM and Yosemite is running fine. I've been using it since the first beta and thus far no issues.

Mid-2011 here (1.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 128GB, 4GB RAM) and it seems to be running fine.

Value of the Ive'ization of the GUI and the 'improvements' in the new OS more debatable and not yet fully tested here, though.
