Trying to reinstall Mac OS x I have a snow leopard install disc. My MacBook is a mid 2008 I believe and I accidently erased the drive that had the Mac OS x software on it. It had Lion on it and before but I believe it came originally with leopard or snow leopard. How do I reinstall the Mac OS x on it if when I go to the disk utility it only shows two untitled partitions in the hard drive. I also have below those two in the separate box disk1 Mac OS x base system. I have tried just putting the DVD install disk and it takes me to the installer but after choosing the language it says it cannot install it. I've used the DVD before and it's worked fine on my Mac minis.
