How will be mid tier macmini(2014) with 1TB fusion drv for app develpment & mid lvl gaming purpose

never had a mac til now.regarding reviews for 2014 model's dual core processors, i'm a bit confused if the mac mini(2014) will serve my purpose.I'm looking frwrd to using it for 3/4 yrs at least.
