If I complete a project and upload to iCloud and place in the theater, can I delete them from the project tab? Just trying to avoid using extra space.

I believe that you could delete your movie from the project file, although I would not recommend it. If you ever need to edit your movie, there is a slight possibility you may not be able to, so it's best to stay on the safe side.
