Is jailbreak for iOS5.x still community supported? I have an older iPod Touch (3rd gen, I think) that is iOS-maxxed at v5.1.1. Until I can afford to upgrade my phone from an iPhone5 16GB to an iPhone6 64GB, I'm using the iPod for music at work, and there are a few JB tweaks I'd like to see if I can find, most notably a rotation-lock.

I have jailbroken before, but it's been some time and I haven't been keeping up with the current info.

I think it's probably one of those "you're on your own" things... jailbreak devs have moved on to stay ahead of Apple and get 8.2 breakable before 8.3 comes out.

Fortunately ios 5.1.1 had a long long run and all the jailbreak tweaks were pretty solid, and since they were made during that time, for that ios, they will still be solid now? you just need to find what they are. Things like springtomize, lock info, bitesms, sbsettings, backgrounder?
Those will all still function perfectly on your iOS device running 5.1.1
Also because cydia is cydia, they are all still available!
