HI, I am hoping for some help. I have an iphone 5 running iOS 6.1 that is jailbroken. Problem is my headphone jack is broken and to fix it I likely need new hardware. Basically Verizon will have to send me a new phone and Ill have to do the whole transfer thing but I don't want to lose the jailbreak. Any ideas? Please help. FYI I did replace the headphone jack/lightning port assembly and still the headphones have incredible static.

It all depends on what iOS version the replacement phone comes with... if it comes with one that's jailbreakable, you do what you did with your present phone. If it comes with an iOS that can't be jailbroken - it is what it is... there's no "transfer" of jailbreak from one device to another.

Regardless of the new firmware, the jailbreak will not transfer, you will have to jailbreak from scratch.
