Just curious for those who use PdaNet. I see in the description that in order to access secure sites you have to buy the registered version. So does this mean I won?t be able to access email, etc. since that goes through an https site while logging in?

I bought MyWi 5 for $19.99, I allowed for the $5 upgrade fee for MyWi 6 to be taken. They haven?t taken it yet because they say they are behind on processing purchases.

I?m just looking for something in the mean time until MyWi is running again for me.

I believe pdanet is around $5. I have used pdanet but i haven't used mywi. I use pdanet only for the occasional mobile hotspot and I use the registered version since my corporate email goes thru https. I have had no issues.

As far as MyWi is concerned, in the early hours of the evasi0n jailbreak I was able to download and run MyWi 5.5 on iOS 6. Try sideloading the 5.5 version of the app and use your already existing license.

Grab the .deb file(s) from the web, save them to the device and install them via iFile or put them in the auto-install folder (google it for exact location).

Thanks!

I'll give it a try at home tonight. I watched a few youtube videos also.

My new license for MyWi 6 went through and now I'm running fine.

Does anyone know if MyWi 6 works with JB iOS 6.1.1?
