Hi,

I want buy an app if available, but I want to make sure that it is appropriate for my usage.

I just installed a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo system in my vehicle. The company literature claims that you can send and receive text messages using Bluetooth through this unit. (Go here: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X796 CD receiver at Crutchfield.com and read the 2nd paragraph under the ?Overview? section describing the SMS capabilities of this stereo unit.)

All of the other Bluetooth functions work just fine except for the SMS. There is nothing in the owner?s manual that would notify someone or indicate that the SMS function does not work with the iPhone 4 (Download manual here: https://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/113/113BT752HD.PDF pages 24 & 25, or see excerpts from manual below). Consequently, I went to the Kenwood site and discovered that the SMS function does not work with an iPhone (see copy of Kenwood webpage below ? listed after manual excerpts below).

Upon searching Google, I read in several forums that there was an app that would solve this problem, but the posts in the forums did not name the app or mention where to get it.

I am hoping that there is an app will solve the problem.

Note: My iPhone 4 is unlocked and jail broken.

Thank you for your response/assistance.
