Help me verify if this is only the digitizer that cracked

my brothers screen is lightly cracked. if you look at it dead on, you cant even see it. i assume its just the top layer/digitizer though. can someone just confirm before i buy it to replace? probably tough to tell, sorry bout the pic. screen works 100% perfectly, just has the slight crack over it, which is why i assume its the digitizer.

The screen and digitizer are one piece.. If its the LCD your thinking of its fine. The screen is cracked.

its just the top glass thats cracked, not the actual LCD display, as its not bleeding and the image under the crack it just fine.

It don't matter .. If one is broke you have to replace both .. As stated the digitizer and LCD are fused together you can not just replace one .. If it was a 3GS or 3G then yes you could just replace the digitizer ..
