I have a friend that just got a iP4 from Apple that is on 5.1.1, it was a warranty exchange. Obviously it's locked and she needs it unlocked so she can use it on t-mobile again.

    Gevey SIM?
    Software unlock?

I don't really deal with this stuff too often, AT&T doesn't really handle unlocking at a store level.

Unfortunatly if you google the words "iPhone" and "Unlock" in the same search you get pages on useless garbage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

5.1.1 from the gate I would assume baseband is also newest that means no software unlock ..
I'm not sure about grevy but I don't think it works anymore

Is this AT&T phone off contract ? If so your only option would be a factory unlock if it's not then
You should sell that on eBay and put the money towards buying a factory unlocked one
