    Hi guys

What's the best course of action for the following.
I have a jailbroken iphone 4 running on 5.0.1! , can I save my jailbroken apps from cydia etc before updating to 5.1.1, I then will want to apply the new jailbreak when it comes out.

    Any help would be appreciated

You need to go into Cydia and purchase xbackup. It about a dollar and it works perfectly right down to backing up your springboard layout. I've used it twice and it has worked fine both times. After you restore make sure you reboot your phone. I will be doing exactly the same as you when the jailbreak is launched. Update, restore from iTunes or iCloud backup, jailbreak, install xbackup, run restore and the reboot device. Job done!

Just to confirm it backups your Cydia app's and tweaks, app data, settings and icon/springboard layout.

For a cheap app, I think it's is excellent. There are more expensive ones out there. But for what we want to do its perfects.

    Good luck with it.
