Question on IP4 and jailbreak and update to carrier settings

Hi there, got a question...

My Verizon iphone 4 is still on 5.0.1 because it is jailbroken. When I hook to itunes I not only get the update to 5.1 notification but also an update to carrier settings. Will the update to carrier settings undo my jailbreak?

No it will not as long as it don't update the OS

Nope. Only an update/restore will. What that carrier upgrade might do is limit you from creating a HotSpot if you're using a third party app to do it. You'll need to reenable that.
