I just jailbroke and unlocked an iPhone 3G using redsn0w and ultrasn0w, however I cannot seem to sync it with my iTunes. Whenever I attempt to do it, both the computer and the iPhone say that they are syncing, but nothing happens. It just stops after thirty seconds or so. Is this because it was previously owned and was synced to someone else's iTunes? I haven't run into this before when I've gotten hand-me-down iPods. I haven't been getting the invalid SIM notification that I have heard about. Any help would be great.
