4.11.08 unlock yet? Would Gevey Work?

Hello , again all I am trying to unlock my old I phone 4 , for my sister who is using T-mobile i was able to jailbreak it and install Cydia, using the latest Redsn0w, but then there is the issue of the base band, 4.11.08, I know there has been tons of fake posted youtube videos, i tried a couple none of them worked. The Sim from Tmobile does not get recognized by the phone. What I would like to know if the new Gevey Ultra slim, would get passed the 4.11.08 base band issue? please let me know thank you!!!
