i want to upgrade an iphone 4 on 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 and jailbreak.
im using the gevey sim. so i need to keep my old baseband.
i went to extras in resnow and saw the custom ipsw file.. i clicked it and pointed it to the 5.0.1 ipsw, and it started.
my question: does the phone have to be plugged in during this process? cuz mine wasnt. it still created the no BB file.
is this good enough to use the pwned dfu to load?
or have i made a mistake?
please help me out cuz if my baseband gets updated my phone becomes a paperweight
