Restore from back up 5.1 B3 -> 5.01?

I am using 5.1 B3, and decided to jailbreak, so I installed 5.0.1, jail broke, then went to restore from my 5.1 back up, and it won't let me. Tried through iTunes and via iCloud. Wound up reinstalling 5.1 until I can figure it out.

Anyone have any ideas on how to restore from 5.1 when using 5.0.1?

i'm afraid you're SOL. it's not a big deal to me since I always restore as new anyways

Yeah, I don't think you can restore a backup from a higher firmware to a lower. You should be able to simply downgrade and set things up again, though, it would just take some more time depending on what your setup is (how you sync contacts, etc.).

How do you downgrade from 5.1 to 5.0.1?! I'm on 4s is it possible?

Download 5.0.1 firmware file then use Shift and Restore on PC (command and restore on a Mac I think) I had to do it last week on my 4S cos beta 3 was playing havoc with my Internet connection.

How do you downgrade from 5.1 to 5.0.1?! I'm on 4s is it possible?

You can downgrade from betas.

And to the OP, it's not possible to use a 5.1 backup with any OS lower than 5.1. If it was a backup from 5.0.1 and using it on 5.0, that would have been ok.
