Apple TV & jailbreaking - what will it do?

Sorry if this was covered before but I have no access to a computer for the next few days, and searching on tapatalk is not so easy.

So I have an apple tv and just watched a video on how easy Seas0nPass is to jailbreak the ATV. But why do I want to jailbreak it? What benefits will it bring me? What kind of apps can I run on it?

I have no clue about a jailbreak for the apple tv. I have been jailbreaking my iPhone since the OG iPhone so I know what that can do but I am very curious what the ATV will do once jail broken.

I am asking people what they use it for and how it improves the apple tv experience.
