I'm not a big themer, but one place I love to do it is at the lockscreen. Since updating to iOS 5, however, it seems like many classic html lockscreens--Typophone 4, for example--haven't yet been updated. (I don't know enough about coding to say if it's even possible, but I'm hoping and assuming it is.)

So far I've just made my own simple theme to create more transparency than the default Apple lockscreen has, just by changing the opacity in some of the image elements:

But I miss my lockscreen themes from the 4.3.x days, so I thought I'd start a thread about iOS 5 compatible lockscreen themes. If you have one working or know of one in Cydia, add it to the thread!

So where did you change the opacity settings?

Just redid the images in photoshop and used those in the theme.

Which images in which folders. I have tried all the ones suggested on other sites along with ones I thought should work but none did.

    Thanks

If you look in this thread, I uploaded a zip containing the entire folder I use. Just unzip and drop the folder into Library/Themes and activate in Winterboard.

Thanks, no other site suggested all those files needed to be changed, and of course some of the names changed slightly and for SD the @2x needs to be removed.

    Works great.

Great! Yeah, I threw in a lot of files just to cover bases on what people might be trying to theme.

You mean the one in the first post? It was just something I put together so my lockscreen was more transparent...you can find the zip file attached but I'm sure you can find similar things in Cydia too (this one you have to install yourself).

Thanks so much. How do you go about installing it? I have looked everywhere for the transparencies but nothing seems to work with ios 5.

Just unzip it and put the theme folder into Library/Themes (using iFunbox or whatever) then activate it in Winterboard. I made mine for an iPhone 4, not sure if it will work on other models.

I do remember seeing something called NoLockscreenUI in cydia too if that helps...

CarbonX Pro is a great theme for 1.99. Guy does a great job, has tons of custom app icons and even has the ability to have the lock screen the same as the OP.

Do you know anyway to get rid of the CarbonX HD web link icon that keeps getting pushed to my phone? (this is called a webclip according to the carbonx.me website).
