jailbreak wont work please help

so i got a iphone 3 last night restored in itunes and dl greenpois0n rc6

Now now i run poison and try to put it in dfu mode the phone resets and won't turn back on unless i open itunes

when itunes open it says its in recovery mode and needs to be restored?

stumped please help!

I think it is a 3GS. Second iPhone was iPhone 3G. So it has to be an iPhone 3GS. Did you press the Jailbreak button in Greenpois0n and when it jailbreaks you see a line of code? Usually if you didn't, you didn't click on Jailbreak. If you did see a line of code, and when it was done the iPhone went into recovery mode, you jailbroke on iOS 4.3 and up. Greenpois0n only supports iOS 4.2.1 and below. Please let us know what iOS version you are on so we can go further.

Redsnow 4.2.1 is the highest software that a 3G can go and redsnow will work done countless of them
