I know one of the major complaints of JBers is their battery life. So I'm always looking for tips I can pass on. I have been JBen for the past 4 years continuously so don't tell me it doesn't "Just work" lol.

OK if you notice that your battery drains try this and see if it helps the issue. The Apple apps are OK to leave in the task switxher and let the OS manage unless they misbehave. However I've started killing my JB apps once I'm done using them. JB tweaks are usually things you use only once in awhile like Winterboard, iFile, etc. So they don't need to reside in memory anyway. If you use iFile I have just found out it is another culprit of small battery drain so kill it once you're done with it.

Another thing I like to do is once a week or month delends how I feel, on the weekend I'll clear all my apps before I go to bed plug inthe phone to charge and power it off. You have to power off after you plug in or it will just power back on.Feel free to add the apps or tweaks you've found that suck battery and any tips you have.

Spring flash is a huge drain and for some reason will randomly turn on but not off it will take your battery down20% in 30 minus not too mention heat your phone up like an mre heating source.

It's only logical that when you jailbreak you're going to have more applications running in the background than non-jailbreakers. Lockinfo, SBSettings, a few different themes, tweeks etc... were all not running on my iP4 prior to JB.

I've experienced a slight drop in battery life but nothing too significant (5-10% reduction). Plus you have to factor in that you will be using your phone more often since it's like getting a new phone. For me the added benefits outweigh the battery drop.

For me, themes appear to kill the battery the fastest. In fact if I'm low on battery life without a charger near by, I'll remove a theme (currently Suave HD) and it appears that I can get a little more out of the battery.
