Hello! I decided to change somethings on the iPhone 4 CDMA iOS 5 IPSW. I know that you can NOT just flat out install it through itunes because there are verification checks. So I was wondering if this will work WITHOUT a tethered jailbreak. Could I....
1. Run the jailbreak program(x64) sn0wbreeze-v2.8b1
2. Then go thorugh the steps to make a custom IPSW
3. Let the program make the custom IPSW
4. Let the program put my device in PWNEDDFU
5. Install MY custom firmware instead of the JB one *NOT* the one I created with the jailbreak.
I'm pretty sure it will work or at least not JB me but I just wanted to ask some people who seem to know a lot about JB and custom IPSWs.
