Greenpoison JB to Snowbreeze JB...is that a problem?

Hi all!
I'm new to Jailbreaking. Only did it once with GreenPoison on 4.2.6. Was easy! But now I want to update to VZW 4.2.8 and JB it with Snowbreeze. Will it work? Will I lose all my settings?

I,ve never JB'd on top of a JB anyway, so any helpful info to make it an easy and successful transition would be much appreciated!

Use a jailbreak back-up app - like xBackup available via cydia... back-up; then use itunes and update the OS... then do the sn0wbreeze jailbreak - and restore the back-up via xBackup - that should do it. I did NOT use the xBackup before updating, and it took me most of yesterday evening to get me back to where I was.

was it worth the update? I just used snowbreeze for my b&c's phone and I couldn't restore her itunes settings. Wierd. She hadn't been JB'd yet.
