Does anyone know anything about this app, and whether or not you can download videos to iTunes?

Yes you can download videos from Youtube to your iDevice. Yourtube 2 for the iPhone/iPod Touch, but you need Yourtube HD for your iPad. It works as a plug-in to the Youtube native app. There is no separate app.

The downloaded videos are in 'var/mobile/Media/Yourtube'.

Hmm, I don't know this app, and can't find it via google search. Well, now for YouTube downloding Im using a cool YouTube downloader from iFunia, totally free and can batching download many videos at a time, yet including HD YouTube video, works like a charming man on my Mac.
