Why Would I Jailbreak an iPad 1 (Wifi)

I am new to the iPad and Apple in general. I have a Droid phone that is rooted and the only thing I really use the root access for is tethering. Since my iPad is not going to be able to do that, why would I want to jailbreak it?

I would like to rename my apps, but I am not sure if I should jailbreak it specifically for this. Is there a jailbreak app that would allow me to sort my photos in the native Photos app by filename? That would be cool.

The main reason i jailbroke mine for the little tweaks you can get! Even just having my own carrier logo is nice.

Personally, I just like to know i have no limitations on my device set by apple. However, there are some great apps like SBSettings that just make the whole iOS experience better IMO.
