4.2.7 JailBreak Waiting Room-

I tried JailBreaking my Verizon Iphone 4 with 4.2.7 and the Cydia "loader" icon is there but it wont launch.....So............This is the place to wait...or if there is a way to JB 4.2.7 then tell me here.......

Since the firmware was just released I think you will need to wait for a bit until things have been updated. It shouldn't take too long because it doesn't seem like there was a huge change.

Not sure why anybody would upgrade to 4.2.7 OS since all this was just a security patch to protect against JB'ing

hopefully this will happen soon, is there a way to revert back to 4.2.6 if need be in order to jailbreak again if you already have 4.2.7 installed.

If you have your SHSH blobs saved you should be able to downgrade and re-JB. Do a search for SHSH or blobs there's a ton of threads about doing it. I've never done it or I would give you more help.

According to i0n1c, the jailbreak hole is still open, but he just has to modify a bit of code for it to work with iOS 4.2.7/4.3.2

This reminds me of my "hybrid" days with my BB Storm. We had waiting rooms/threads all the time for official OS's, leaks, and hybrids.

It got pretty rough in those threads with insults and desperate folks feeling cheated cause the Storm NEVER EVER lived up to the hype. Me? I enjoyed the show.

If you download the 4.2.6 ipsw from apple, you can simply restore this firmware via itunes, and then jailbreak just as before. YOu don't have to save any blobs, or mess with anything technical.

I downgraded my 4.2.7 to 4.2.6 with no issues. Greenpois0n works fine after this.

Best thing to do is as soon as Apple releases a new firmware update, look at it's features. If it doesn't have anything big in it, ignore it. If it has big features (AirPlay, the whole 4.0 update, etc), keep an eye on this forum for any posts with the firmware version number in the title for discussions on the jailbreak ETA.

Also, most of the repositories (the places that Cydia pulls the lists of apps from) get hammered during the first 24-48 hours of a big update jailbreak (4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3), so it's best to hold off just for a short while letting the frenzy cool down a bit.

I did not even look at the features on this new update. What did they fix? Or just the holes? LOL
I guess I will wait a week to see when the new jailbreak comes out.

Thanks, And I thought I would not want to jailbreak my iphone. I had my incredible rooted. But I like that I can trick my phone into thinking its on wifi when its on 3g. Facetime and download app over 20mbs. Thats really annoying when your out and find a new app/game but NOOO!!! you can't download it.

But I have a problem.. Ok, Im using redsn0w 0.9.6rc14 and everytime I select my firmware (iPhone3,3_4.2.7_8E303_Restore.ipsw) I?m getting the ?Unable to recognize specified IPSW? error everytime! I?m using the Verizon iPhone on 4.2.7.
