Help with Winterboard and themes

Ok so I thought I had winterboard figured out. I wanted to use Myglass sol along with a different wallpaper so I set it up like this

But it doesn't put my wallpaper in the back ground unless I open a folder

what am I doing wrong? I want all the icons, but want to be able to change out wallpaper at will.
Also is there a way to just get the wallpaper from a theme you like?
