Copy /Paste awry after JB

I jail broke with Greenpoison 4.2.1 and everything went dandy. however I am having issues with copy / paste (CP). Before JB I could double tap/hold anywhere in e-mail / text etc and CP by dragging my finger over the text I wanted. Now I can only CP if I first tap and hold, on text not blank area, until the select option comes up hit select and then drag the blue balls to where I want to CP.

Is this issue new or am I late to the party as usual?

I was having the same issue until I did a full reboot (home and sleep button until Apple logo appears)
