Upgrading to 4.2.1 and preserving baseband?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here knows if i use tiny umbrella and upgrade to 4.2.1 and jailbreak with GreenPois0n to preserve my baseband will all my data be erased off the iphone such as notes and apps and stuff?

You should just back up your apps and back up your phones data before going through with the upgrade. That way worse case scenario, you have to plug into itunes and restore.

How so you use TU to protect your baseband? I'm interested in either 4.2 or 4.3 when it comes out. I used pawnage tool for my upgrade to 4.1 to keep my baseband. I do use TU for the SSH BLOB backup but don't know how to save my baseband so I can go to 4.2.1 and beyond.
