tiny umbrella says i have 4.1,4.2,4.2.b3,4.2b2, firmware saved its on my computer but when i got them after changing the ext to ispw redsnow says its an invalid file any help would appreciated

First off, what's the firmware version, iPhone model and filesize? Need some info for us to help you.

ip4 , 4.2.1 , 3.10 i was able to jailbreak with redsnow tethered went thru all the steps no problem then as soon as i downloaded winterboard and it rebooted it locked up on the apple screen.
now i tryied to just get back my original in itunes and i keep getting a code 1013 when it gets to the firmware part of the download .

Please read about the jailbreak you're doing. When it tells you to reboot, you need to connect the phone to your computer, start redsn0w, and choose "just boot tethered right now." This is how a tethered JB works--you will need to do that every time you reboot, otherwise it will stay on the Apple logo.
