My daughter has an iphone 2g that a friend jailbroke for us a few years ago & now it isn't jailbroken anymore; we used TMobile service with it.

Somehow, I believe that the firmware was upgraded & I've tried to see what firmware it has on it, but the *3001#12345#* code doesn't work ...

We use Windows Vista & I'm having her upgrade itunes to ensre that once we figure this out, it'll last as long as possible.

Appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Also, is there any way to unlock mms .. as it didn't work when it was previously jailbroken?

*3001#12345#* that's field test mode, to check cell signal strength.

    Firmware: Settings>General>About>Version.

Just restore to 3.1.3. Anyway, the baseband is still unlockable for 2G. Apple stopped bothering with locking the 2G when they released the 3G.
