Hi there and Happy New year,
This morning I decided to JB my device (3GS/windows) however ive hit a slight problem whilst following the step by step guide via iclarified:
iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak and Unlock Your iPhone 3GS Using RedSn0w (Windows) [4.2.1]
The problem I have is if the process asks me on step 5 'is this a newer model of IPhone 3GS?' I'm not sure what answer to give.
The first 5 characters of my serial number and ICCID are as follows:
88004
89441
The example displayed in the tutorial specifies that if your S/N 4 & 5 characters combine to be between 40 and 45 the answer could vary. As you can see my dilemma, my S/N number is way out but the ICCID value looks closer to the example but falls within the Uknown area.
I assume the answer I give here is very important.*
How can I be sure what answer to provide without messing this up?
Hope your all not suffering too much with post NY eve hangovers
Any help would be most welcome
